“Trees are poems the earth writes upon the sky”
Kahlil Gibran
Beauty! And light! I believe that music contains authenticity and truth; that music enhances colours, softens the world, makes it bold, enlightens and communicates through time. It captures the power of the present, of humanity, and leaves a powerful mark.
By making music myself, I try to catch a glimpse of eternity and share it with others who need this extremely fine ability that comes with listening to or making (live) music.
Music expresses what words cannot and allows wisdom to grow and flourish.
Music is the fleeting thing that brings back memories.
Anna
“A great song should lift your heart, warm the soul and make you feel good.”

Anna Nuytten is a classically trained singer (alto, mezzo-soprano) and graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Ghent, where she studied with Hendrickje Van Kerckhove. She studied piano in Corsica (France), among other places, where she obtained a ‘Diplôme de fin d’Etudes’.

She teaches in Dutch, French or English. In Poperinge, she teaches at the academy in the jazz/pop department.
Due to her background as an organist and cantor, eight years as a musician for the churches of the Wervik/Geluwe federation (Sint-Medardus, Sint-Jozef, Heilig Hart and Sint-Dionysius), she also listens, by accompanying herself on the piano, ceremonial events, weddings and funerals, events, receptions, art exhibitions, celebrations, restaurant visits, dinners or private occasions, aperitif concerts, openings, musical walks… in Wervik, Kortrijk, Roeselare, Ypres, Lille, Bruges, Northern France, Poperinge, drawing on a repertoire that includes classical wedding music and funeral music, as well as more contemporary pieces and pop songs.

Their idiosyncratic way of making music is particularly evident in atypical, sometimes surprising colours and twists.
Anna sings in various chamber music ensembles such as Saevus, conducted by Johannes Dewilde, Ex tempore, conducted by Florian Heyerick, Swara Vocal Ensemble conducted by Ivan Yohan, Lyra di Orfeo, conducted by Christian Nuytten, Ghent Singers, conducted by Helen Cassano, among others, and founded by Jolien De Gendt. With these ensembles and choirs, she sings both polyphonic repertoire (de Wert, Lassus, etc.) and Baroque (Bach, Handel, Graupner, etc.), classical (Mendelssohn, Brahms, Beethoven) and contemporary pieces such as Rainbow by Nazanin Fakoor and Choir Piece by Felix Kindermann.
